#TwitterSmarter Officially Gets a New Name

The time has come to embrace Twitter's name change.

Hi Friend,

This week I officially launched the new name for the #TwitterSmarter chat. As you may recall, I recently ran a poll where I narrowed it down to two names and asked my community to chime in on their thoughts - which turned out overwhelmingly in favor of #SmarterX! For 8 years my brand has been known for the #TwitterSmarter hashtag. But the time has come to roll with the platform's new name, and who better to help me pick a replacement than all of you? Crowdsourcing is so powerful - especially, in a situation like this where we all had a strong attachment to the former name. In fact, many of you seem to like #SmarterX precisely because it keeps the connection to the old one.

So, you’ll start seeing #SmarterX in my content moving forward.

Oh, and of course we couldn't forget about my weekly audio discussion in Spaces called #TwitterProfileReviews, aka #TwitterAudits! We're now calling it #XtremeMakeovers.

Audio-Technica ATR2100 Microphone

If you think you can't afford a professional quality microphone, you're going to be blown away by the low-cost Audio-Technica. This mic sounds just as good as the expensive ones, even in a side-by-side comparison. I'll tell you a secret. Several years ago, Kami Huyse and I co-hosted the Communities That Convert podcast. I was using my $300 Heil PR-40 microphone, while Kami used the Audio-Technica. Our audio sounded the same! You absolutely could not tell that she was using a far less expensive microphone.
